💡 Featured Social Impact Company: Upsolve

Upsolve is a platform that helps millions of people overcome their debt and rebuild their financial situation. They also have a screener that can generate bankruptcy paperwork for free, accessed easily with any mobile or desk web browser and is built by experienced bankruptcy attorneys.

Founded by Rohan Pavuluri, Jonathan Petts, and Mark Hansen in 2016, Upsolve has relieved over 430 million dollars in debt for its users. Pavuluri saw that there was an ongoing issue with people suffering from medical bills, layoffs, and predatory loans, and wanted to build a product and community that can be transformative to a larger scale.

Upsolve is moving forward with two main goals for the future: to help as many people as possible through the app and to advocate for a more accessible and just legal system for those that can’t afford it.

Upsolve has been featured in a variety of outlets, such as The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, Forbes, and more.

👋 Who We Are

Impact Fellows is a global community of students and recent graduates pursuing careers in social impact. Through our programming, we help young student professionals find careers addressing pressing social issues in our world, ranging from areas such as education, homelessness, sustainability, and economic empowerment.

Impact Fellows is student-led initiative by university students from across the country. The community was founded by three USC social entrepreneurship students: Kevin Lu, Tanya Chen, and Laya Madulapally.
